Free to Breathe Bike Ride/Yogathon

The lung cancer community is on a mission to make surviving lung cancer the expectation, not the exception. Hundreds of local residents will join in that mission by participating in the Albuquerque Free to Breathe Bike Ride and Yogathon on Sunday, April 3 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Bikers can participate in a 20-mile, 10-mile or 6-mile course and the inaugural 120-minute yogathon will be a varied intensity yoga practice preceded by a 30-minute outdoor yoga warm-up and ending with a 30-minute flow cool down. The event is dedicated to Tim Peterson who was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in 2013 and passed away in June 2015. All proceeds from the event support Free to Breathe, a lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicated to doubling lung cancer survival by 2022. Online registration ($35) closes March 30. Mail-in registration ($38) closes March 28. You can also register event day for $40.
