5th Annual from Field to Feast Celebration
This Native American community festival celebrates the food traditions of New Mexico. We will celebrate and share histories of planting, harvesting, cooking and eating while considering issues of health and well-being. This year’s field to feast will include an agriculture and health information fair, lectures by Pueblo farmers, hands on activities and demonstrations of Pueblo farming, cooking and art, dance performances by the Acoma Intercultural Dancers of Acoma Pueblo, a chile stew cook-off and a traditional pueblo throw. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center’s Field to Feast 2012 will be an engaging day of fun and festivities for the whole family and will be a day for the community to explore and celebrate the food histories and cultural legacies of the Native People of New Mexico.
