In April ProVeg calls for vegan baking. As part of the "Vegan Bake Sale" campaign, initiatives worldwide offer homemade delicacies without any animal ingredients. Albuquerque, NM 29th April 2018, from 12pm till 4pm.
Vegan muffins, cookies and cakes sweeten the day of April 29th, 2018. During this period the tenth Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale takes place. Within the framework of the promotional period, organizations and initiatives offer self-baked, vegan delicacies for sale in public places and privately-organized vegan cafes. ProVeg coordinates the campaign and calls for participation.
"The action shows how delicious cakes and cupcakes are without eggs and dairy products. Sweet vegan specialties are an absolute hit. Numerous cafes across Germany attract ever-new creations to a young audience, who discover the culinary tradition for themselves”, says Sebastian Joy, ProVeg CEO.
Proceeds go to a good cause
The idea of the Vegan Bake Sale originally comes from the USA. Vegan pastries are sold for a good cause. People come in touch with delicious vegan food. In recent years, many events have taken place on all six continents. Since 2009, over 360,000 dollars of donations have been generated with the events worldwide. In April, Vegan Bake Sales take place in Germany, US, Hongkong, Italy and more than 20 other countries. Further events and cities are continually added.
