Savor the Flavor

Delicious New Mexico, a statewide non-profit dedicated to creating a strong and sustainable food economy through the growth of food businesses, has joined with the Museum of International Folk Art to celebrate New Mexican flavor. The two will combine efforts Sunday, June 2, 2013 on Museum Hill, with Savor the Flavor, an event featuring New Mexico businesses, demonstrations, books, and, of course, food. While the New World Cuisine: The Histories of Chocolate, Mate y Mas exhibition has drawn crowds delighted with the historical focus on chocolate, mate, and more, Delicious New Mexico will bring today’s local food community into the mix with a host of members from around the state who have prospered through network building, innovation, and best practices. Delicious New Mexico launched in September, 2012 to serve the dozens of growing food businesses around the state by helping them gain access to larger markets. This event is the first of its kind in Santa Fe, where local food is already widely celebrated. Delicious New Mexico’s members’ success can be seen—and tasted—at Savor the Flavor.
